In a cold but lovely winter day this past January, The Pink Pony was invited to run a play workshop at the World's First Pop-Up Museum of Happiness in London.
The Museum of Happiness is an initiative founded by Shamash Alidina, Vicky Johnson and Kieran Walton that aims to provide a fun, educational and experiential place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to learn more about the essence of long-lasting happiness & well-being.
Joe Robinson, author of Work to Live, says that there are few things more important to your happiness than frequent doses of play, and we thought it would be fantastic to start 2016 demonstrating you (and the entire planet) that. That’s why we created the Happy Pony Express.
The participants of our Happy Pony Express were invited to create a little kind note for a stranger; something that would make the person smile when they open the envelope, and happier for the rest of the day. Then, they put the note in an envelope along with their details, hang it, and picked a letter wrote by a stranger.
Given the feedback we receive from the participants, we can say that we achieved our mission… at least in the Happiness Museum. If you want to help us convince the rest of planet, spread the word! Together we can make more people smile. Let’s play!
Number of players: 62
Ages: 9 – 59
Kind notes given: 62
Kind notes received: 62
