In July our Pink Pony collaborated with the Creative Mornings London team to design and run a playful, hands-on activity to kickstart Lee Bofin’s talk on collaboration. Lee is the Founder of Global Street Art and his talk was a very inspiring one: street art as a tool for citizens to reclaim power in their city.
The attendees of the Creative Mornings event were invited to create their own piece of street art with a message to London and paste it on a giant map.
One of the aims of Let’s Fix London, besides getting people excited about Lee’s talk and co-create something together while having a nice breakfast, was testing immediate and long-term engagement as we invited some adventurous players to take some blank stickers and start their own guerrilla art campaign on their way to work, back at their houses or on their favourite pub. Everything goes. It’s street art.
The participants were very engaged and had a lot to say, as you can see on the pictures and the results of our playground were a collective map of messages for London co-created by the participants, a social media campaign #letsfixlondon (stay tuned for the video!), and hopefully the kickstart of some street art careers!
